Heather’s lookbook was exactly what I wanted and more. She came up with super interesting combos that have breathed new life into some long-forgotten pieces. I also appreciated that, while I left it open for Heather to make recommendations if she saw a gap in my wardrobe, she opted not to and instead really hammered home that there’s much more to explore in my existing wardrobe.

I am really excited to try some of these suggestions. The layered looks with the unexpected patterns are probably not something I would have come up with and I appreciate the different spectrum of whimsy, and my inspiration for this time of year is very layered! my closet is in a transition state. I feel like most of my clothes were bought for office wear, but have shifted so only in office a few days a week. I’m looking for clothes I can wear at home and feel comfortable but still chic/like I made an effort- were I tend to default to jeans and a tshirt, etc. I also really struggle with lines- the right height shoe for the length of pant, or the rise/waist with were the bottom of the top hits.

Wow, this is so good, thank you!! I am definitely seeing more potential in what already have (which I suppose is kind of the point of Indyx haha). I also didn’t expect to find some killer thrifted pieces in between when I requested the lookbook and now. I’m really happy with this and am feeling like I need fewer recommendations than I initially thought. That said, I haven’t worn sneakers with anything that’s not athleisure for years but would love some help in finding some casual sneakers. The black shoes you chose look great but unfortunately are a bit uncomfortable and sweaty, so perhaps some alternatives that are a little more in the sneaker family ? Also, I am looking for a larger ‘airline personal item’ bag that’s chic but comfortable. Something with a removable crossbody strap or maybe a backpack. I don’t need a lot of internal pockets/compartments. Another thing that comes to mind is some jewelry or other finishing touch that is a bit more contemporary. I know this can also be done with hair and makeup! Thanks again, you are amazing!

Loved this so much, thank you Heather ❤️ you've helped me see what I'm trying to do with the individual bits of my wardrobe but sometimes don't quite manage to succeed in with refined maximalism. I was trying to go with "minimalist but it makes some noise". Turning it on its head is revolutionary for how I dress. Second, I love the way you've helped remove myself from default combinations and show me how to pick new combos. I was at such a loss with those red slides, but now I'm so excited to wear them. I really loved this on the whole! Every suggestion was great. I do wish there could have been one more exchange back and forth before finalizing (for example, my stylist didn't catch that an item she thought was a skirt was actually categorized as a scarf, which I'd have really loved to have included as it can be worn) and I would have loved to answer a few of the questions in her notes ahead of time so they could be included. But that's all process stuff, the look book itself is wonderful and Heather has a fantastic eye!

I do love my Jil Sander slides, the cashmere sweater, and the Banana trench, so you were right on point. I wanted to see what you thought were the “best,” or perhaps most versatile, pieces in my closet are, so this was really helpful. I also loved your recommendations— I’m going to go out and get the black maxi immediately. It’s a great idea. This process made me appreciate the art of fashion photography— thank you for dealing with the horrible pictures I sent over. Just for a little more variety, would you be willing to switch out the last look for something including the green Vince dress?
