How delightful to get home from a week-long work trip and have these outfits to try on!! I love the outfits and never would have come up with them myself, which is why I wanted an expert to give me some help. The Lookbook gives me several new ways to use some of my favorite pieces. I also appreciated the tips on how to clean out my closet. Thank you Angela!

Hi Angela,
I wanted to send some feedback now that I’ve had a chance to try almost everything (I’m still waiting on the dress, but excited for it to arrive!).
Overall, I really like the direction and can tell you listened to the feedback I gave you. I can definitely see myself wearing the outfits you put together, and since I’m still waiting on the dress, most of my feedback is really on a few of the individual pieces rather than the outfit combinations themselves.
A few thoughts on specific pieces:
The green pants were actually the item I was most excited about. I really like the overall look and feel like they’re very much in line with what I’m looking for, but I couldn’t quite get the fit right. The medium is definitely too big, but the small feels a little too snug. When I’m standing, the small feels okay, but when I sit down, they tend to ride down a bit, which makes me wonder if they’re a little too tight or if the rise just isn’t quite right for me. I also worry the fabric may wrinkle pretty easily, which isn’t my favorite. Do you have any similar alternatives that might give a similar look?
The skirt was the item I struggled with most. I really wanted to love it, but I think I’ve realized that this style of poplin skirt may not be the best fit for me. I ordered the medium, and I do think a small might be slightly more flattering, but I don’t think it would solve the overall issue. When I try it on with a sweater, the overall look starts to feel a little more traditional than I tend to gravitate toward. While it technically defines my waist, the volume and structure make me feel wider overall. I think I may do better with skirts or dresses that have a little more drape and less volume.
The Margaux shoes unfortunately didn’t work because they don’t have an 8.5 available. I tried the 8 and 9, but neither felt right. Since I know I’m usually an 8.5, would you recommend waiting for another color to come back in stock or looking at a different shoe altogether?
The Loeffler Randalls are beautiful and exactly the kind of shoe I hoped I would love, but I realized the open-back style just isn’t ideal for me. Comfort tends to win for me, and I don’t love the feeling of shoes slipping or clicking when I walk. I’d definitely be interested in something with a similar look that has a closed back.
The bag is cute, and I’m still deciding on it. My only hesitation is that I carry a laptop, portable monitor, keyboard, and other work items most days, so I’m not sure it’s quite large enough for how I’d realistically use it.
I also took a few photos of the pants and skirt while trying everything on. If it’s helpful, I’m happy to send them along since that may make some of my feedback easier to visualize.
If you have replacement suggestions for the skirt, pants, and shoes, I’d love to see them. Overall, I’m really excited about the direction and the outfit combinations you’ve put together.
One other question — I’ve really enjoyed working with you. Do you offer any services beyond the lookbooks? I’d be curious to learn more about how you typically work with clients longer-term.
Thanks!
Hillary

Yes, yes yes. Really paid attention. Pushed a bit and not too much. Saw THE blue I was channeling. I am adding via a small reworking business but the fact that the idea was nailed spoke volumes. Would certainly use again for that fresh take. Bravo

I loved this Lookbook! Angela was super thoughtful, gave me great ideas & useful comments. I also really enjoyed reading her Substack about the Lookbook - thanks!!

Ángela—-you are a styling genius!! I love this push of rewearing more of my existing items, I can’t even explain how excited the stirrup leggings looks make me! And your styling advice on one big item (versus big on top and bottom) felt like the fashion gods giving me permission to do this. Thank you thank you for your work here, my key takeaway is to start adding MORE pieces to my looks, I think I’m being too conservative with my styling to get the looks I want. And I love how you nailed the nuances of the Bay Area climate. I will definitely keep you posted on these looks! Xx

Wow this is great!!! Thank you, Angela! I was so happy with the mix of outfits - from workwear to date night and I especially loved the cozy errands day outfits - so much of my outfit needs are for casual days and I will feel so much more chic in these combinations than just my jeans and sweater uniform. Your eye for color, texture and proportion is amazing, and you spotted things I never would have put together. I can already see how the leopard print flats (something I never would’ve picked!) fill the gap I had for another work shoe so much better than the tan flats I had been eyeing - genius! These all feel so wearable and I can’t wait to try out the combinations.

I highly recommend Angela as a stylist. Not only did she fully understand my lifestyle demands and aesthetic taste but also described alternatives to the looks she created for me. Her recommendations for new pieces were very close to the wishlist I had shared with her and she came up with looks that I will wear a lot. None of the looks were too ‘out of my comfort zone’ (which is a concern I normally have when working with a stylist). Overall, this lookbook was even better than I had expected and I got so much inspiration on what to wear in the upcoming season!

Loved working with Angela for these amazing looks — many combos I’d never considered, using pieces I already own— as well as some fantastic recommendations on what to add that would help me extend my wardrobe even more. Especially love that for many outfits she gave multiple options on how to style or recommended other ideas in the notes section. I did this lookbook b/c I started a new job and now I have a ton of new inspo!! Highly recommend!
